I'm just really learning about this type of technology, so I'm curious: what makes a SSD different when erased compared to a traditional disk-spinning HD? I had always heard that, with a traditional HD, even if you erased/reformatted the drive and threw it away that some savvy tech types could somehow either restore your drive or get file fragments to get information, etc? Maybe that's just paranoid urban myth, but that's what I had always heard. What, technologically speaking, makes a SSD different in terms of not retaining old data when erased? Just curious.

What you want to do with the secondary display is called clamshell mode.
You need an external keyboard and mouse to achieve it.
1. Plug in and turn on external display
2. Close the lid of the computer, let it sleep
3. Wake it up using said external keyboard and mouse
4. Your external is now your main, and only display, running at it's native resolution.

you can only do video in on the 2011 27" imacs if the device your plugging in has thunderbolt. (i.e. 2011 macbook pros)

@TheMacMaster - I think you'll have to get a SL retail disc, its only $29 - then boot from that to do the disc repair.
In future, try not to hijack threads though, it makes things confusing, just start your own, it doesn't matter if you think you've got the same issue (because in fact, you might not.)

I used the V400 for a while. We didnt get a long to well. It was fine, the battery life was fine for me. Nothing un reasonable. 3-4 days is what I got. I seemed rather slow n sluggish at times. It also scratches very easier. Then my backlight died on it. ( Just one day went out.) I went into Cingular and they gave me a new one on the spot.
I was done with the phone though, and bought a V600 at the same time. (sold the new V400 on ebay) It much more durable IMO opinion.
I've since bought a V3.
All in all its a good phone. Nothing special IMO. but solid.So you would recomend the v600 over the v400 as far as battery life and quality?

I've learned over time that zooming is really something you shouldn't do often. So many people think they can make amazing videos by zooming in and out all the time when really the zooming just hurts them. The panning and tilting was nice but needs to be much smoother and also I'd recommend not using copyrighted music without the proper permissions.

I have a 15" PBG4 1.25ghz and am having some screen artifacts show up. Everything is running fine otherwise. I haven't used this machine at all in months and I'm trying to clean it up to sell it. Any info would be helpful.

Take a look at an extract from the modem update for jaguar! I have seen too many places say a dual 1.5Ghz!!! I reckon they planned to release it but could not because of Motorola, so they pulled it at the last minute.

I think what happened was I deleted the photo after I had set it as the desktop, realized the oops moment and re-downloaded it, but since I deleted the original and didn't re-do the "set as desktop" with the second one, it went back to default on restart. Makes sense to me, and that's what I'm going with lol

Thought the video was pretty terrific even if I hadn't known it was shot on an iPhone. I've seen people with camera gear costing 10 or more times as much that couldn't touch the work you did.

2.5ghz G5 is just an overclocked 2.0. Otherwise why would it need to be watercooled?
It's about time Apple made a Phone/PDA
Apple ought just get real and start using Intel/AMD and get their new cases redesigned by Alienware. OH and get some decent games...
