gcformeornot is correct. You cannot "transfer" an I-140 approval, but you can keep and use the PD for any subsequent I-140. Once a new LC is approved, a copy of the I-140 approval notice with the 10/2007 PD should be included in the new I-140 submission along with a request to use the old PD on the new I-140 approval notice.

Hi,
I read an article on Automatic Revalidation.
It says if you have an expired visa, and a valid 797 you can still enter US.
Is it true for H1 extensions?
Please advise.

In 2007 , I joined a new company and filed my Labour substitution+I140 petition in June 2007. This got approved in November 2007. but my H1B transfer to this company is still not approved. Earlier this year (2008) I went back to my previous company whose H1B is still valid and waited for my old H1B to get approved with no luck.
Now, i wish to start my GC process with this new company, can I retain my old priority date of I140 ? There is absolutely no chance that I will get I-140 approval copy from my old employer, but I have the receipt Number and I know the PD.
Any help is appreciated.

Some light coming up in the tunnel. Hope its not that of an oncoming train.
Unless some political goof up turns, economy seems to be getting brighter and brighter. This might help translate into more jobs and opportunities..

There seems to be mevement in the job market, but things are definitely bpound to improve once holiday season is over.
We can see the uptrend beginning new year

Immigration Lawyers Blog Has Just Posted the Following:
On Aug. 13, 2010, President Obama signed into law Public Law 111-230, which requires the submission of an additional $2000 for certain H-1B petitions and $2250 for certain L-1 petitions. Those who are subject to the additional fees include petitioners who employ 50 or more U.S. employees and more than 50 percent of its U.S. employees are in H-1B or L status (including L-1A, L-1B and L-2). For example, ABC company has 60 employees and has 35 employees in H-1B and L-1 status. ABC Company would be required to pay the additional fee for all new H-1B and L-1 petition filings. Extension of status petitions are not subject to the additional fee. The new fees are effective immediately, applying to all petitions submitted on or after Aug. 14, 2010 through Sept. 20, 2014.
