One of my friends got GC without any problems.He got substitution labor.
Another friend (who didn't changed his employer) got RFE asking for employment verification letter.But many of his friends got GCs even after changing employer without any RFE.

I would donate 500$ if I get the GC before 2012. If not I would reduce it by 50$ a year there after.

please update us on when you get your visa and please post your entire experience as it would help others. you should have applied for AP while you are in US. Now that you are outside and do not have AP, the only options I see are you just wait on the visa from US consulate in Canada or alternatively, you can request your passport back telling them that you would like to apply for visa in India as you cannot stay in Canada for an extended period of time.

W"oaaa thats a col idea man -- the UI is a bit hard to use - especially for clients with no design app experience-- maybe u need to lead people thru the coices-- eg first choose a page layout, pick one of these.. now ...... something like that ..
but wow nice little app, a lot of work I am sure, Looking forward to seeing the finished product. ( its very processor hungry? - hard to use sometimes because of this)

Hello,
You need to say "Yes" when they ask if anyone ever filed immigrant petition for you. I140 is an immigrant petition. The chances of you getting F-1 visa are minimal. This is due to the fact that you had shown immigrant intent, when your employer filed I140 for you. It does not matter if your employer withdrew the I140 or not or how much time lapsed. The problem is that you already showed your immigrant intent, and hence due to the language in INA, it will be VERY VERY difficult to get any type of a non-immigrant visa, unless such a visa carries "dual intent" such as H-1 or L-1.

In that case I apologize. But of late there has been a spate of such suspicious activity. Look at the number of new threads opened about people being sent back by accounts with only 1 post. Looks at the pointless argument going over between messers snram4 and u.misc. Check their history and make up your own mind. I cannot imagine someone with any semblance of maturity could engage in just hideously low level argument. So obviously there is an agenda at work. To each is own . But please, its funny only if your audience finds it funny and there is nothing funny about the Feb visa bulletin no matter which part of the world you are from.
I only recently discovered IV and use to just read posts on Murthy earlier. It seems like some of the imbeciles from Murthy may have made their way here. There is so much nonsensical and agenda based talk on Murthy its not funny. And most galling is the fact that two of my posts that contained strong arguments against certain **famous** posters were not published!! They allow posts with name calling and rude language, but not with strong rebuttals against certain schools of thought.

My priority date becomes current on June 1st. I need to add my wife (dependent) to my green card process. Please let me know how long it takes for her to get her green card. We stay in Houston, Texas. My I-485 is with Texas processing Center.

I got an approval email from CRIS last week on my I-140.
Today I received an email saying the notice that USCIS sent was returned as undeliverable.
Any one has similar experience? Where does the I-140 approval notice go- Attorney or Employer address?

Can a spouse of Green card holder get an H1b visa.
Spouse is currently studying MBA final sem.
She has 3 year industry work experience.
An US based corporation might be willing to sponser her h1b visa because she has worked for their indian counterparty.
The question :
Her husband is a green card holder and she must disclose it either on the H1B petition or at the time of visa interview.
What are chances of her obtaining h1b visa ?
I heard H1B is a dual intent visa.

My lawyer asked for separate checks for each application.. FP is always added to I-485 fees.. But since they issued EAD receipt for you and spouse, that means definitely 2 485s... Guess you need to wait for the receipts to get the missing receipt # or you can call USCIS...

You should contact your lawyer & ask USCIS to amend your H1 for 3 years instead of 1 year. One time My H1B got approved but USCIS forgot to add up vacation time then My Lawyer contacted USCIS officer to amed that time. Later got new H1B approval with correct date.
I think that will give clear idea if USCIS not finding you I140?
My concern is during the H1 Extension process USCIS have touched all my files (485/EAD/AP) but not I-140.
I have put all my WAC/SRC numbers on USCIS website, I could see the LUD date changed against all files except for I-140. which apparently have a different A#.
I m worried, if USCIS would come up sometime in future n say they dont see my I-140 file.

I think USCIS should substitute permanent labor not the date to be fair, because substituting date makes an individual jump the line.

Ask your H1B holding company what should be your reply in case Consultate asks you about client details. This question will come to you 100%. So prepare for it. If you and your H1B holding company is satisfied then its fine. One solutions could be to mention in DS 156 that you are workking at your H1B holding company place. But its just a thought. Discuss it with your company.
